   Although it sounds cool, I can’t honestly swallow the idea of people willing to submit their lives to a virtual reality.

   I doubt it. It would require alot more funding then it currently has now and would be too expensive for many people to afford it. Might alter the riches perception and lifestyle but the majority will remain the same.

   I don’t know how religion will react. I suppose they will say the device is from Satan.

   I wouldn’t want to be trapped inside such a device but I would love to be able to use it to take a virtual vacation. I am already attempting to do what I can currently do using Google Maps Street View, Google Earth and MS Live Maps Birds Eye View.

   One problem: If we access the internet through our brain, then what will happen when we get a virus and the comp crashes? And second of all, how do you print documents to hand in for school or work? And lastly, isn’t that approaching The Matrix a little too closely? I don’t want to have the bus driver turning into Agent Smith when I’m taking the bus home.

    UhhHuhh the technogical singularity!!!!!!!!! I am eagerly waiting for it to arrive,hopefully before I die. You do realize that this may be the key to immortality? Have you been reading Ray Kurzweil’s books? Kurzweil predicts the end of the human race as we know it soon after the singularity arrives. I knew some of the religious nutjobs would react the way they are doing to this question. All I have to say is don’t stand in my way if I want to do it,it’s none of your business if I want to be first inline. I’d like to hear more on what your thoughts are on this.

    That will never happen. We are in the end times and it shouldnt take that many more years for all prophecy to be fulfilled. And to the person who mentioned ‘rapture’, the word ‘rapture’ is not in the bible and you won’t be going anywhere, if you believe that, you are a prime target for anti-christ(satan) when he gets here pretending to be Jesus Christ.
