Xoxo X asked: I have a question asking whether virtual reality is a good thing or a bad thing. How can we benefit from it? VR is defintely awesome and all, but isn’t possible that we might lose ourselves? As in we forget what’s real and what’s pretend. What is your opinion on virtual reality?

You need to wake up and quit dreaming. It’s good to dream, but how are you going to accomplish your dreams if your doing nothing to achieve them!?

I think that there are risks in losing the basic human contact. The internet has altered our forms of communicating so much. If everyone uses the computer as the primary way to form relationships, we’ll lose the ability to interact in person and other ways. I worry if children will lack social skills if they are not exposed to more traditional ways to engage in their communities. I do believe that being online too much can create an altered version of reality. You lose the sense of distance and levels of self-disclosure are completely altered.
